Spot On: The Pulse of Laser Therapy
Regained Freedom
Patient Testimonial
"I have had low back pain for the last 20-25 years. The pain has gotten progressively worse for the last 10-15 years. The pain gets so bad that I have to take time off of work for 3-4 wks, several times per year for the last few years.
My chiropractor referred me to Dr. Logan for laser treatment a few months ago and I can't believe how much better I'm feeling. I had forgotten how many things I had given up doing due to the pain in my lower back. I am extremely happy with the results I've gotten with the laser and so grateful for the freedom I've regained in my life.
Thank you Dr. Logan and to the wonderful staff at Stanislaus Chiropractic Center."

A Healed Heel
Patient Testimonial
I've had heel pain for the past few years and was at my wit's end. I could barely walk by last September.
I had tried cortisone shots. They were very painful and only worked one time and that only lasted a couple of months. I tried some custom made shoes that were over $150.00/pair and when they didn't help much tried another pair that were over $200.00/pair that seemed to help a little bit for a little while. I could only walk for about 30-60 minutes in my special shoes before I had to sit down and rest.
I saw an advertisement in the newspaper for your laser therapy and decided to give it a try. I had my first treatment on October 12, 2007. I had immediate relief. I received 4 more treatments over the next two weeks and have been pain-free ever since. I am so glad I tried the laser. Now I can wear the shoes I want, when I want, without any pain.
Sincerely,

Laser Light Explained
It is often asked how does laser actually work? The short answer is that the infrared light is pushed into the tissues where our cells convert the light to cellular energy.
The longer version has to do with a 25 cent word called "photobiostimulation." This is the term used for how infrared light interacts with our cells. When small packets of light, called photons, strike the cell membranes, many of the cells activities are enhanced, including but not limited to reduction in pain, increased collagen production, increased ATP production and increased lymphatic drainage.

10-years of Pain Relieved
Patient Testimonial
Before having laser therapy, I had been to almost every treatment out there. Nothing seemed to help for more than 2-3 days, if at all.
I have been suffering with lower back pain for the past 20 years. I have been seeing Dr. Logan and his Dad for the last few years, but still only got relief for a month or two at the most.
But since I began getting lasered, on Dr. Logan's recommendation, I have regained all the feeling in my left leg, that had been gone since 1997. I have also been able to stop taking all the medications the M.D. had prescribed to try and help me. I'm feeling better than I have in over 10 years. I think the Class IV Laser is the best treatment available.
Sincerely,

Dr. Logan Delivers
K-Laser provides relief for automobile accident victim.
In late November 2007, I was involved in an automobile accident. A car abruptly pulled out from a side street and I was unable to avoid striking it broadside. The impact stopped me cold, from 35mph, causing the airbag to deploy, and consequently knocking me out cold for the next couple minutes. After this trauma to my body, I was in great pain. My back and especially my neck and right shoulder were very painful. A friend of mine recommended I go to Stanislaus Chiropractic Center for treatment. After meeting with Dr. Robert Logan, I was impressed by the treatment options available to me. They included specific chiropractic care, Class IV laser therapy, and spinal rehabilitation.
After the first treatment, there was marked improvement. This improvement has continued over time, and I continue to get better. I was advised that the nature of my injuries will result in permanent residual pain, but with the care of Dr. Logan and the therapists at Stanislaus Chiropractic, that pain will be kept to a minimum. I don't want to know where my pain level would be without the care and treatment I have received at Stanislaus Chiropractic Center.

Wart Removal
Rod from Bend, OR provided the following testimonial:
I had two huge warts on my hand, one on my thumb and one on my middle finger. They were very ugly and also embarrassing.
Dr. Tobey suggested his new laser therapy be used on them. As an experiment, he started the treatment only on the worst one, on the middle finger. The one on the thumb was not treated at all.
I was amazed at the results. Within one week, the wart on the middle finger had dried up and fell off. I returned to his office for my regular scheduled adjustment (two weeks from previous visit) and related the incredible results to Dr. Tobey. He lasered the thumb this time, and again, within a week it had dried up and fallen off. If it had not happened to me, I would not believe it was possible.
Thanks again Dr. Tobey!
Sincerely,
R.V. Pahle
About Warts
According to WebMD, A wart is a harmless skin growth caused by some types of the virus called the human papillomavirus (HPV). There are more than 100 known types of HPV. HPV infects the top layer of skin, usually entering the body in an area of broken skin. The virus causes the top layer of skin to grow rapidly, forming a wart.

Spasm Relief
Patient Testimonial
We often refer to something we don't care for as a "pain in the neck," but anyone who's experienced neck pain understands all too well that it's no laughing matter. Likewise neck spasms, while they may sound like only a minor annoyance, they too can be extremely painful.
Neck spasms are involuntary contractions of the muscles in your neck. The muscles become tight, hard, and painful. Neck spasms may occur after an injury, overuse, poor posture, or stress. It is common for a person doing a lot of computer work to feel his or her neck stiffen. Spasms may even occur from an uncomfortable night's sleep.
Veronica found relief with the K-Laser.
She writes:
Dr. Hall and Staff,
I was having alot of neck and back problems recently, so I went to a number of specialists. I was getting no relief, and none of their treaments were working. A friend told me about your laser treatments and I decided to give it a try. After only my second or third session, I was already feeling great. I had no more back or neck spasms. It was such a relief. I just wanted to say thanks to you and your staff, I have my life back.
If you've tried the standard doctor recommendations such as: stretching, massage, ice (brrr), moist heating pads, or even physical therapy, maybe it's time you tried the K-Laser. Like Veronica, you too can experience effective and safe pain relief.

Mobility Returned
Damaged Tendon Relief - Patient Testimonial
In April of 2007, I had a nasty horseback riding accident. I landed awkwardly on my right wrist, and bruised my right arm, hand and forearm. The tendons in my forearm were also damaged.
My medical doctor put my wrist in a brace and said to take some painkillers, along with rest and that was it. By June 2007, the pain was so bad; I couldn't even use the fingers of my right hand at all. It was shortly after that; I started receiving K-laser treatments to my right hand and arm.
I had significantly less pain after the first treatment. By the end of the fifth treatment, mobility and flexibility had returned. I have recently finished my tenth treatment and the pain is gone. I have no pain.
Thanks to all at Stanislaus Chiropractic Center for all of your help.

Stroke Recovery
Patient Testimonial
Bud, (not his real name), is an 84-year-old gentleman who suffered a severe stroke in 1999. The stroke left him partially paralyzed in his right arm and leg, his speech and short-term memory were also affected. He started down the long road to recovery with lots of physical therapy.
With the help of physical therapy Bud's speech and short-term memory returned to near normal but he was still struggling with a great deal of pain in his extremities.
In July of 2007, he began seeing Dr. Lyle Tvedt, a friend for over 10-years, in Ripon. They had both attended a mutual friend's birthday party and Dr. Tvedt casually mentioned he had a new laser that might help with the pain Bud was experiencing.
Bud followed Dr. Tvedt's advice and went in to see him on the following Monday morning. He related the following subjective symptoms:
- Left shoulder pain was at a level 10 and constant,
- Left knee pain was at level 8 and constant,
- Bilateral calf pain was bothering him each night, at a 9 on the Borg pain scale,
- Left hip pain was at a 10 and constant,
- Right hand was non-functional with a constant pain, level 6.
- Sleep was very restless due to the severe pain.
Results:
Bud has received 24-laser sessions in the last 11-weeks and has had nothing short of miraculous results. Bud now sleeps through the night, with no medication. His left shoulder and left knee are pain free. The left hip pain is at a level 2 intermittently and the calf pain has gone down to a level 5 after only two sessions.
Bud is eternally grateful to his friend Dr. Tvedt, and has shared his experiences with anyone who will listen. He has referred over 10 of his friend's and family members, based on his experience with the laser treatments.

How it all works
Oh my gosh! What is that laser doing? The pain is going away; the swelling is going down; the tissue is healing! How is this happening?
Let's start with the pain. Laser light selectively inhibits C-fiber afferent nerve pathways; that is, slow-conducting unmyelinated neurons that carry sensory information from the nociceptors to the central nervous system. [1]
Now for the swelling.... Laser light suppresses the inflammatory cytokine Interleukin 1β that typically accompanies trauma. With this insidious irritant neutralized, painful swelling mercifully dissipates. [2]
Let us turn now to healing. The body, in it's mysterious wisdom, knows how to heal damaged tissues, and progresses at a rate limited by metabolic resources and availability of local adenosine triphosphate (ATP) for energy to drive the process. Laser light activates ATP production in the mitochondria in this way: In a mitochondrion's electron transport chain there are four enzymatic stages in the formation of ATP. In the final stage, laser photons strike photoreceptive chromophores in cytochrome c oxidase causing excitation of an electron from its ground state into an excited state.
This photo signal transduction and amplification chain converts molecular oxygen to two molecules of water, establishing a chemiosmotic potential that ATP synthase uses to synthesize ATP. The laser photon stream thereby generates a proton gradient across the mitochondrial membrane, increasing ATP synthesis.
Through laser illumination of the cytochrome c oxidase chromophores, oxidative metabolism is increased, driving ATP production necessary for accelerated tissue repair, reduction of inflammation and subsequent pain relief. [3]

Klaser Prevents Long-term Injury to DC with Class IV Laser Technology
In late April 2007, I got into a serious "Golfing" accident. I was a passenger in a golf cart, which was traveling downhill on a cart path approaching a hairpin turn at Ruddy Ranch Golf Course. The driver took the turn a bit too quickly and I was thrown out of the golf cart and landed directly onto my anterior right shoulder. To add insult to injury, the golf cart fell on top of me. As a laid face down on the Bermuda grass, I thought that I definitely broke something.
Luckily, I was able to get up and finish my round with moderate shoulder pain. The shoulder felt abnormally loose with each swing. "Its probably just a sprain," I thought. "I have a full day before I have to start adjusting patients, I should be fine by Monday."
Boy was I wrong. It turned out that I had suffered mild AC (acromioclavicular) separation, supraspinatus and bicipital muscle strains and grade 3 AC and SC (sternoclavicular joint) ligament strains. By Monday I was unable to abduct my right shoulder past 5 degrees due to the pain!
I called Dr. Wil Origel Monday morning and told him about what happened to me. He brought his Klaser to my office, all the way from Modesto, that same afternoon to treat my shoulder. After only one treatment, my pain levels were reduced 50% and I was able to abduct to 90 degrees. That same day, I told him that I wanted to purchase the Class IV Laser for my office.
The next day he brought over my new Klaser and I began to use it on my shoulder for the next 6-days. I used the D1 Edema setting 6-minutes, and D5 Pain reduction per treatment during this first week. By Monday, I was adjusting my patients with very little shoulder pain. However, I had residual trigger points at the right trapezius, supraspinatus and bicipital musculature, which did cause some discomfort. I continued to treat myself for an additional 5-days with the D2 trigger point/spasm settings for 6-minutes per treatment.
Injuries of this nature traditionally take at least 6-8 weeks with conservative treatment. That would be just to reduce pain. Then it would take another 6-8 weeks to rehabilitate the shoulder. With the Klaser, it took only 2 weeks!!! 1-week to reduce the pain, another to rehabilitate! What a great new Chiropractic tool.

Dancing on Laser Light
Patient Testimonial - Pain Relief
Connie M. loves to dance. However, over the past few months she has been hampered by Morton's Neuromas on both feet. She would attempt to dance, however after 5 minutes on her feet, she would have to sit down for the rest of the night due to the severe pain in her feet. She thought that she would never be able to dance again...
In early July Connie's primary care doctor was close to injecting her with cortisone, when she came into my office inquiring about laser therapy. After 3-weeks of treatment with the Klaser at Bantique Chiropractic and Laser Therapy, Connie was able to dance pain free!
It has been 6-weeks since her last laser treatment and her pain has not returned.

Contusion Injury
Patient Testimonial
Doing some heavy work I received a crushing contusion with extensive ecchymosis. Enduring the pain into the next day I sought laser treatment for the affected area. After the laser treatment, the pain and swelling began to recede and I could see normal color returning even on the same day.
By the third K-Laser treatment the damage showed substantial healing. I fully expected this injury to take six weeks to heal; but with the K-Laser therapy the pain, edema and discoloration due to bleeding crushed blood vessels was gone in one week.

RSD Treatment
Dr. Dave Marquis, Chiropractor at A Natural Balance Integrative Wellness Center is proudly reporting incredible results with his K-Laser...
Seeing incredible results with a couple RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy) patients. One patient who has not felt normal sensory in his feet for over 8 years. He states that he not only feels a "zillion times better," but that this is the first time in 8-years he has felt his feet. His overall pain level is cut by greater than 50% after 3 treatments.
Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy is an under diagnosed and often untreated condition, causing devastating and disabling consequences for the patient. RSD affects the involuntary sympathetic nervous system and can be a debilitating disease. The onset of RSD usually follows a trauma, injury or surgery.

Deep settings:
Molar Extraction
Treating facial pain after three molars were extracted. (Beam directed against the cheek over the mandible.) The patient reported experiencing rapid pain relief.
The patient was not only pleased with the results of her treatment but was saved a trip to the hospital. She exclaimed, "I was going to go to the ER, but now I don't have to"
Stomach Flu Treatment
Treating stomach flu/diarrhea. One treatment. Beam directed to abdomen under sternum.
The stomach flu (upset stomach) left after a single treatment (using one of the Deep tissue settings).
I plan on using the laser to illuminate [my term; preferable to 'irradiate'] the liver to aid in detoxification. I propose the official adoption of this terminology to differentiate it from ionizing radiation. Why not put it to a vote?
On a more humorous note; I tried the maximum strength, CW setting on my own low back. Suddenly, I felt a tickling down on my inner thigh, like a bug crawling there. I actually pulled up my pant leg to check, before realizing that I'd inadvertently stimulated a lumbar nerve root!

Chronic LBP
Chronic lower back pain is no picnic!
A patient of over 20-years recently had a flare-up of his chronic lower back pain (LBP). He states he has had LBP off and on for over 28 years. It usually bothers him about twice per year and lasts for about 1-2 weeks.
This most recent episode started in January of this year, when he was leaning forward and to the side to place a fork in the dishwasher. Unfortunately, the pain in his lower back was still at a constant and moderate level after 2 months.
After discussing his condition with Dr. Hall, he decided to try the K-laser therapy. Additionally, he also had a mild-moderately painful muscle knot in the right side of his thoracolumbar spine, for the last 15 years.
He had his first laser treatment on March 14, 2007. Within 30-days (and six treatments over that time period) his pain level was reduced to 0-1 on the Borg (1-10, 10 being the worst) pain scale. It has been 4 months and he states that his pain level remains at a minimal level and the muscle knot has gone away as well.
Sincerely,
Robert R. Logan D.C., CCSP Labels: Dr. Logan, K-Laser, lower back pain
Relief from Back Pain
Patient gains relief from back pain - finally!
Chronic low back pain with frequent exacerbations has plagued me for over 35 years (as a result of a 1973 work comp injury). An MRI revealed severe spinal stenosis and severe degenerative disc disease at 4/5 levels of the S-spine and made me feel even more dismal.
Over time, I have sought relief through acupuncture, acupressure massage, physical therapy (ice/heat packs, ultrasound, TENS unit, stretching and low back exercises), a series of four (4) cortisone shots, anti-inflammatory therapies (Advil, Vioxx, Celebrex, Tylenol-Arthritis, etc.), and treatment by numerous local chiropractors. Nothing seemed to offer effective, long-lasting relief of pain.
Then Dr. Razzaqui came to Santa Barbara, offering a new chiropractic tool: K-Laser therapy. Following a particularly acute exacerbation of low back pain (ranging from "8 to 9" on the "0-10" Pain Scale) with increased sciatica, muscle spasms and acute overall body stiffness. I could hardly rise from a chair or the bed.
For this reason, I eagerly approached K-Laser treatment through Dr. Razzaqui, and it has turned out to be the most effective mode of treatment for relief of pain when combined with chiropractic adjustment. K-Laser therapy is cumulative, and even with the first K-Laser treatment I could feel muscle groups begin to relax in my low back.
Over the course of the next 6-8 weeks, the ever-present pain, inflammation and muscle spasms continued to respond to K-Laser therapy and chiropractic adjustment. Dr. Razzaqui also suggested I might benefit by electrical stimulation which I eagerly agreed to try.
I am now at a pain level "1" – and ready to begin a safe exercise program. The relief from muscle, joint pain and spasms as well as stiffness has been simply unbelievable and very exhilarating. It feels like a miracle!
K-Laser Therapy has to be the greatest break through in chiropractic care in years. I hope patients like me, desperately seeking pain relief and increased function, will consider trying K-Laser Therapy so they can experience the benefits and be able to pursue living life without the distraction of pain and disability.

NAALT: Catch the Wave
NAALT Convention speakers presented cutting edge healing techniques.
Dr. Andrew Hall and I (Laura) had the opportunity to attend the 2007 North American Association of Laser Therapy (NAALT) Convention, which was held in Tucson, Arizona in May. This event was so informative that we are still trying to digest it all.
Dr. Jerome True, Laser Tech. Laura La Nier and Dr. Andrew K. Hall at the 2007 NAALT Convention
The main theme of the conference was that laser therapy is the medicine of the future. Every speaker agreed that we need to get ready to "catch the wave and it's a tsunami!"
We were able to attend lectures given by doctors and researchers from London, Russia, Brazil, and Denmark - you name it. These medical pioneers were all truly inspiring. Our own K-laser Medical Advisor, Dr. Jerry True, lectured during this time as well.
Dr. Hall is so enthusiastic about this technology; he is re-thinking the entire emphasis of his future endeavors. We all look forward to seeing what he is in the process of creating.
Dr. Nick Wise presented one of the newest techniques that inspired Dr. Hall. This technique is called Cranial Laser Release Technique. It works under the idea that the brain is enclosed in a hologram of related muscle groups of the body. By using a laser on these points, there is a dramatic reduction of pain in a matter of seconds. Truly, quantum physics at its finest.
We also had the privilege of meeting with a "rat doctor" from London who is finding that certain wavelengths of laser light are actually working to regenerate nerves. A lovely woman who had a way of explaining all of this complicated chemistry very simply. And if we are ever in London we are to be sure and "give her a ring!"
We look forward to what is in store for us with laser therapy. It truly is a wonderful opportunity to see the future being written now. We hope you will be inspired to "catch the wave" as well.
Sincerely,

NAALT Convention
Highlights of the 2007 NAALT Convention
The NAALT conference in Tucson, AZ was a great experience for KLaser participants and NAALT members. The resort and spa were fabulous.
Doctors Andrew and Gary Hall at the 2007 NAALT Convention
The scientific courses were very current and educational. Dr. True lectured on Saturday afternoon to a packed room with laser users and researchers from all over the world.
His lecture covered basic Class IV protocols and quite a few amazing case studies. In my opinion, this was one of the best lectures on the clinical application of laser therapy given that weekend.
Other lectures of interest were Dr. Jan Bordal, covering junk science from Big Pharma and the deliberate absence of laser therapy in recommended protocols from researchers covering therapies for musculoskeletal disorders.
Dr. Rodrigo Lopes Martins presented an excellent review of his work on low-level laser for reduction of arthritis and PGE2.
Dr. Juanita Anders lectured on light interaction with CNS progenitor cells covering optimum wavelengths and dosimetry for neurite outgrowth. Her research is leading the way for development of clinical applications for laser therapy in spinal cord injury and nerve repair.
Dr. Lanzafame gave updates on wound healing and low-level laser. He covered topics of current photobiomodulation mechanisms, nitric oxide precursors, NSAIDS and highly successful LED studies for wound closure.. Dr. Naeser covered the non-surgical treatment of CTS, as well as two other presenters in the NAALT program.
Without a doubt the NAALT organization is certainly the foremost source for current laser research and clinical applications of laser therapy in America.
Oh yes, did I mention the heat? 90 degrees at 7 am! "It's a dry heat."
OK then!

Smashed Finger Responds
Smashed Finger Responds Quickly to K-Laser Therapy
I was waiting patiently for the next laser patient, when the staff told me she had called and stated she would be late, because she smashed her finger in the door as she was leaving for her appointment.
When she arrived a few minutes later, she had her left index finger wrapped up in a towel. She was being seen for her fifth laser treatment to her left shoulder, upper back and neck. We did the normal treatment and then added a 30 second treatment to her injured finger.
The finger was very red and swollen and had a deep purple hematoma over the proximal interphalngeal joint that was about 3mm wide and 30mm long (1 1/4 in). She tolerated the treatment very well and was rescheduled for follow-up in two days.
Upon follow-up, the finger was "80-90%" better after only 2 days. The same treatment was performed and she was seen 3 days later. The finger looked totally normal and there was no pain or swelling evident. She received a total of 3 treatments to the finger of 30 seconds each.
The patient was truly amazed and is still being seen for her upper back and neck/shoulder pain with good results so far.

Put me in Coach
K-Laser puts this ballplayer back in the game!
I can't say enough good things about the K-Laser Treatment that I received from you. I thought my injury was going to end my baseball season for sure. For those of you, who may be still on the fence about whether the K-Laser Treatment is a good idea, please let me tell you my story.
Through out all of my years playing baseball, I have had my fair share of bumps and bruises. However, I have been blessed by being major injury free. Well, one game last year, while filling in for an absent teammate at 1st base, I tried a little too hard to stretch for a ball. When I went down, I didn't hear any noise, no tear, no pop, but I knew something was wrong. Sure enough, by the time the next inning rolled around, I needed help from my teammates to get back in the dugout.
I thought my season was over for sure, and by all accounts it was going to be. It appeared that I had torn my hamstring muscle in 3 different places with 3 initial bruises merging into one giant bruise. The pain was intense, imagine standing up and having hot liquid magma run from the top of your hamstring down to the back of your knee. OUCH!
Hamstring Injury
BUT! I got smart! I went immediately to see Dr. Hall, and he recommended a 3-times a week regimen of the K-Laser. I was skeptical about it at first, because I had never experienced anything remotely like it before. Dr. Hall assured me that the K-Laser would indeed, not only help me with the pain I was in, but also get me back on the field in time for playoffs.
The amount of pain I was in and the prospect of being able to finish the season was too much for me to pass up, so I started my regimen of 3-times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). After 3-weeks of treatment, not only was I back in the game, but our team won the playoffs.
I owe Dr. Hall so much for putting me on the K-Laser; he saved my season, and I have not had any hamstring problems since. I would highly encourage any medical professional or anyone who is in pain to seek out a professional who is involved with the K-Laser treatment program.
Sincerely,

Dramatic Results
K-Laser treatment for shingles produces immediate results.
I have had four sessions of laser treatment with Dr. Gary Hall for a shingles (Herpes Zoster) outbreak. The results have been dramatic and immediate. The first treatment was the very morning my face was breaking out into blisters. I had great concern about an area on my nose and right up to the inside of my eye.
After the treatment I went immediately to my medical doctor for a pain medicine, since the blisters had persisted, I was examined by a dermatologist who determined that the outbreak was actually poison oak. We discussed the laser treatment and how noticeably my face was healing before our very eyes.
Now, six days later the blisters have disappeared and my skin is only slightly discolored. My entire body was covered with blisters and I currently feel the outbreaks are being managed with consistent laser treatments. The lesions on my jaw line and fingers have been the most problematic but the healing is evidenced by the ability to still function in my daily activities despite the fact the severity of this outbreak.
Prior to this outbreak I had a migraine headache for twelve days while on a cruise. I was unable to receive chiropractic adjustments during this time and have been under tremendous stress for the past six months. My pain level was at a ten being nearly intolerable/intractable. Last Wednesday, I received an adjustment and the first laser treatment and relief was immediate.
In conclusion, I strongly recommend the laser therapy for eradication and management for this application. I have photographs for documentation of this case upon request and will follow-up with a detailed testimonial. Laser is used for many applications and for shingles has proven to be very effective for pain management and blister control in my case. I will continue the laser treatment until all blisters have ceased to appear and the stress related conditions cease. I will also take measures to eliminate controllable stress in my life.

Calf Strain Case Study
Case Study #1 Calf strain after Mountain Biking
A fellow D.C. came in to the office on 04-03-2007 to be checked for adjustment and had a noticeable limp. I inquired about the limp and he related a strenuous weekend of mountain-biking had left him very stiff and sore in his right calf.
I offered to laser the calf for him and he agreed to try it out. After a brief exam to rule out any underlying abnormality, I performed a 6-minute combination treatment of modulated and continuous wave Class IV laser therapy to the affected calf muscle, tendon and origin/insertion sites.
During the history, he had mentioned that he could hardly walk on Sunday (the day after the ride) and Monday. He was sent on his way and told to come back in two days to recheck the calf.
Results:
On Thursday, the follow-up exam revealed no tenderness to palpation, no altered gait, and no symptoms. The D.C. stated he had a small amount of tenderness on Wednesday with a slight limp and no pain or limp today (Thursday).
He is 46yo and in good health but was still amazed at how fast he got better with the laser treatment. As a lifetime athlete, he was used to waiting for 1-2 weeks for similar strains to feel better. It has been 4wks and he has had no recurrence of the calf pain.

New Interest in K-Laser
Class IV Laser Therapy Generates Interest from Professional Medical Organizations
Jerome M. True D.C., DABCN
Dr. Jerome True is a chiropractic neurologist with considerable clinical experience using class IV laser therapy for treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. Aside from his private practice, he has been very busy over the last year lecturing on the benefits of high power laser therapy throughout the country.
He remarks, "Although chiropractic physicians have been quick to embrace laser therapy as an adjunctive therapy, the medical community in general has not. The medical acceptance of laser therapy may be changing as the result of scientific studies demonstrating the benefit of laser for the treatment many neuromusculoskeletal conditions. These studies have perked the interest of many medical institutions, organizations and professional sports teams."
Dr. True was invited to lecture at Walter Reed Army Medical Center for the Department Physical Medicine in November of 2006. He was given the opportunity to present a brief lecture for the neurologists from the department of stroke at Stanford School of Medicine.
