Alexis' Seatbelt Abrasion

Patient Testimonial

Seat Belt Abrasion after roll-over vehicle accident

6 days later, following three laser treatments at C5 setting.

13 days post injury following 5 laser treatments

Alexis, a 19 year old female, presented with a moderate-to-severe chest pain with seat-belt abrasion, most prevalent over the anterior chest wall.

"I came to Dr. Mik after a car accident left me with not only neck and back pain, but a huge seat belt abrasion across my chest. Not only was it ugly and embarrassing, it was so painful I could not even put a bandage on it."

"Right away Dr. Mik suggested laser treatment. I was willing to do anything to help it heal faster. Three days after the first treatment my wound was a quarter of the size it had been, and the chest pain was minimal."

"One week later, after two more treatments, my abrasion was almost completely gone with no chest pain. I am very satisfied with the successful (and amazing) results of the laser treatments. Thank you, Dr. Mik"

Dr. Logan Treats Wrist

Dorris, a 47-year-old patient, had been doing some heavy yard work and shortly afterward had excruciating right wrist pain.

The patient was driving and on the first right turn she attempted felt a sharp, burning pain in her wrist. She instinctively grabbed the wrist and instantly felt a marble-sized lump on the inside of the wrist.

Dorris went to the hospital emergency room (ER) and after a brief exam, x-rays were taken and she was written a prescription for Vicodin and Motrin, and then sent home. She bought a wrist brace and wore that for the next 3-days, but the pain was getting worse.

She called Kaiser and was advised to go back to the ER due to the worsening pain, coldness of the hand and marble-sized deformity. This time the ER re-took the x-rays, and after administering some local Novacaine, manipulated the wrist and repositioned the dislocated wrist bone. She was given another prescription for more Vicodin and Motrin, and fitted with a new wrist brace.

She came in for her chiropractic treatment about a week and a half later and was still having moderate, burning pain in the wrist. I suggested she try some laser treatment to get rid of the pain. She agreed and had a 6-minute laser treatment – relief was immediate.

It has been six weeks and she states she has had no recurrence of pain, after a single laser treatment. She was ecstatic with the results. To reduce the risk of re-injury, she does use the brace during any heavy yard work.

Sincerely,
Dr. Logan

Smashed Finger Responds

Smashed Finger Responds Quickly to K-Laser Therapy

I was waiting patiently for the next laser patient, when the staff told me she had called and stated she would be late, because she smashed her finger in the door as she was leaving for her appointment.

When she arrived a few minutes later, she had her left index finger wrapped up in a towel. She was being seen for her fifth laser treatment to her left shoulder, upper back and neck. We did the normal treatment and then added a 30 second treatment to her injured finger.

The finger was very red and swollen and had a deep purple hematoma over the proximal interphalngeal joint that was about 3mm wide and 30mm long (1 1/4 in). She tolerated the treatment very well and was rescheduled for follow-up in two days.

Upon follow-up, the finger was "80-90%" better after only 2 days. The same treatment was performed and she was seen 3 days later. The finger looked totally normal and there was no pain or swelling evident. She received a total of 3 treatments to the finger of 30 seconds each.

The patient was truly amazed and is still being seen for her upper back and neck/shoulder pain with good results so far.

Put me in Coach

K-Laser puts this ballplayer back in the game!

I can't say enough good things about the K-Laser Treatment that I received from you. I thought my injury was going to end my baseball season for sure. For those of you, who may be still on the fence about whether the K-Laser Treatment is a good idea, please let me tell you my story.

Through out all of my years playing baseball, I have had my fair share of bumps and bruises. However, I have been blessed by being major injury free. Well, one game last year, while filling in for an absent teammate at 1st base, I tried a little too hard to stretch for a ball. When I went down, I didn't hear any noise, no tear, no pop, but I knew something was wrong. Sure enough, by the time the next inning rolled around, I needed help from my teammates to get back in the dugout.

I thought my season was over for sure, and by all accounts it was going to be. It appeared that I had torn my hamstring muscle in 3 different places with 3 initial bruises merging into one giant bruise. The pain was intense, imagine standing up and having hot liquid magma run from the top of your hamstring down to the back of your knee. OUCH!

Hamstring Injury

Hamstring Injury

BUT! I got smart! I went immediately to see Dr. Hall, and he recommended a 3-times a week regimen of the K-Laser. I was skeptical about it at first, because I had never experienced anything remotely like it before. Dr. Hall assured me that the K-Laser would indeed, not only help me with the pain I was in, but also get me back on the field in time for playoffs.

The amount of pain I was in and the prospect of being able to finish the season was too much for me to pass up, so I started my regimen of 3-times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). After 3-weeks of treatment, not only was I back in the game, but our team won the playoffs.

I owe Dr. Hall so much for putting me on the K-Laser; he saved my season, and I have not had any hamstring problems since. I would highly encourage any medical professional or anyone who is in pain to seek out a professional who is involved with the K-Laser treatment program.

Sincerely,
Richy Horning
