Reduced Serum Prostaglandin E(2) Analgesic Effects in Orthopedics 83 female orthopedic patients were treated with a diode semi-conductor laser. The reduced serum prostaglandin E(2) analgesic effects were observed in 67 of 83 cases. The serum PGE(2) levels are considered to directly reflect nociceptive pain.
